National Credit Union Youth Month

April is National Credit Union Youth Month, focusing on teaching children financial skills. This year's theme is 'Super Savers', and we're hosting contests to encourage and reward young savers.

Youth Month Contest

Peoples Federal Credit Union is celebrating National Credit Union Youth Month this year by giving your super saver a reward to their savings account with two ways to play!

For kids, ages 0-12, we have our Youth Month Coloring Contest. For teens, ages 13-17, we have our Youth Month Essay Contest. A boy and girl will be chosen from each contest, and they will receive a SUPER deposit of $100 into their PFCU Savings Account!*

Respond to the essay prompt in 250 words or less (Minimum number of words 100). Fill out the contact information and submit your sheet.

* Must be a member in good standing to participate. One entry per participant. Ages 0 – 17 may participate. Coloring entry winner will be chosen randomly. Essay winner will be chosen by a committee of three credit union staff members and will be based on content of the essay. Participants must submit the completed picture or essay between April 5 – April 30^{th, 2024}. Late entries will not be accepted. Winners will receive a one time $100 deposit into their share account. All entries must include, 1. Youth’s name and age, 2. Parent/Guardians name, 3. Phone number, and email address for contact purposes. Entries may be dropped off at any one of the credit union’s branches, mailed to Peoples FCU c/o Youth Month Contest, 419 First Ave. South, Nitro, WV 25143, or emailed to ksnider@peoplesfcu.com.
